Unique and exclusive, Cogel Ultrasafe is a new generation ultrasound transmission gel with non-alcoholic disinfectant compounds.

The rapid expansion of ultrasound procedures in recent years has led to the identification of infection risks, highlighting the need for improved safety measures. Common ultrasound gels and probes can act as potential vectors for the transmission of infections, highlighting the importance of rigorous reprocessing and safety protocols.

The innovative Cogel Ultrasafe has been designed to offer higher protection for patients and operators, it is suitable for all commercially available ultrasound equipment.

Attention: Ultrasafe provides high protection but is not a disinfectant, this gel does not possess hygienic properties.

Cogel Ultrasafe is mainly used in cases where cross-contamination poses a serious problem, such as:

  • in patients with immunodeficiency or undergoing immunosuppressive treatment;
  • in newborns or pediatric patients suffering from critical illnesses;
  • in patients suffering from critical pathologies or patients subject to precautionary measures regarding the transmission of pathogens by direct contact, through the air or liquids.
  • in patients undergoing ultrasound examination in facilities with a high level of contamination (for example: diagnostic imaging centers, health centers, emergency rooms, etc.).

Cogel Ultrasafe can be used in hospitals, private clinics, at a doctor’s office and nursing homes, particularly in the following areas:

  • Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology
  • All other departments where ultrasound is performed, especially in departments with immunocompromised patients (e.g. neonatology, hematology, oncology)
